In Idaho, a couple needs no witnesses or blood tests, and there is no waiting period to get a marriage license. You must, however, be 18 or older (under 18 requires parental consent). Marriage licenses for Coeur d’Alene/Post Falls area weddings can be purchased at the Kootenai County Courthouse, 501 Government Way - $28 on weekdays and $45 on Saturdays, no personal checks, please. Bonner County (Sandpoint and surrounding communities) at the Clerks Office, 215 S. 1st Ave., Sandpoint - $28, open 9am to 5pm weekdays. Silver Valley area at the Shoshone County Courthouse, 700 Bank St., Wallace - $28, open 9am to 5pm weekdays. Boundary County at the Bonners Ferry Courthouse, 6452 Kootenai Avenue - $28, open 9am to 5pm weekdays. Many wedding chapels, resorts and bed and breakfast inns have on-site wedding services.
